1980s Climbing

During the 1980s, I lived in Seattle (and Renton) WA and climbed, skied, kayaked, and hiked. My vacations

were expended doing long climbing trips to places like Mt. McKinley, the Ptarmigan traverse in the North

Cascades, and the Bailey Range Traverse in the Olympic Mountains. In Oct-1990, I quit Boeing and Jeff

Mellor and I began our bicycle tour around the world shortly after.

After taking my long bicycle trip around the world, I returned to reality in late 1992, landing a job again in

April 1993 (Hager City, WI) I spent the 1990s mostly living in Renton Washington, with brief periods

spent living in Hager City, WI and Everett, WA. I starting making wine again, kayaked, hiked (climbed very little),

starting playing and then building guitars, bought my first house, mostly worked for Boeing and then the FAA in 2000,

bought the White Salmon place in 2001, before connecting with Phyllis and moving to Minnesota in 2002. For our
