The leaves on our new linden tree, just coming out on 12-May-2011! Everything is 2-3 weeks behind normal because of our long, wet, cool spell.
I cranked up the ISO to 3200 so I could hand-hold and use f/5.6 on a dark day. Nice IQ in spite of that!

On 23-May we saw Bruce Cockburn at the Cedar Cultural Center: A great show and Phyllis's first time seeing Bruce.
The violinist with Bruce was Jenny Scheinman, who was great.

I participated in the Minnesota Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Association's (MBOTMA) "Kick Off" event the first weekend of June. I didn't sell any guitars; but I gave away a lot of brochures and had a lot of interest.
The vendor locations was right by the main stage and we could see and hear the music.
It's held at El Rancho Mañana, a very nice, shady, in the woods venue
I got a lot of interest from two sons of the Durocher Family. The young people of this family were pretty amazing musicians.

summit of Carlton Peak
is 1526 feet above sea level (924 feet above Lake Superior level) and has a
spectacular overlooking view of Lake Superior to the east and the
surrounding forests of the Sawtooth Mountains to the north, west and south.
The summit has a 550 foot elevation gain from the point of the Britton
Trailhead origin.
